Skye woke up Thursday morning with discharge in her left eye. It was pasted shut. I cleaned it up and noticed that it was swollen and pink. My first thought was that she had pink eye. After calling my whole family for their thoughts and coming to the conclusion that she did have pink eye I called Brandon at work. With no questions asked he told me to take her to the doctors. I took her in and my doctor agreed that she had pink eye. He prescribed her some eye drops and we went on our way.

The top picture was her the first day. The bottom picture is her the second day. You can't see it, but her eye was extremely swollen. She could hardly keep it open. She was soo pitiful. And even with a funky eye she is still the cutest thing I have ever seen.

This Last Week

This last week Brandon and I had the same two days off together so we decided to go down to Mexico for Valentine's Day. It was real nice being together as a family.

We ate at a restraunt that has a perfect view of the condos. It is soo pretty.

Birds were flying around and landing on the sill. You could just reach out and touch them.

We walked up and down the streets and shopped. By the end of the day we were exhausted. Skye past out as soon as we got into the car.

A family Gathering

At the end of January my brother and sister came out to visit. Donny brought his wife and Molly brought 2 of her kids. It was fun having them all out. Everyone came out to the house and we stayed up talking all night. Unfortunately, I did not remember to take pictures until the last night and by that time Molly had left and Marybeth wasn't there.

But here is Donny and his wife Julie. Here are the boys.

Here's the family without Julie

And here we are without Berry.

It was hard to get a picture with all of us together.

Skye

Skye recently has picked up on playing air hockey. When people come over and they play, Skye always tries to join in. Well, my niece novali figured that if she moved a chair to the one side of the table she could play with Skye. Then, Marybeth took us to a birthday party. Skye had her first experience on a trampoline and she loved it.Once she got on I could not get her off.

A Quick Update

I know it has been a long time since I have updated my blog, but things have been pretty busy around here. Brandon and I are both working full time and at opposite shifts. We are both soo tired and feel like there is no time for anything.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. We had the whole family together at our house. Debbie and Phil helped me cook dinner and it actually turned out better than we thought. Together, we make the best gravy.

Then we shot into Christmas. WOW! This was crazy. Now that the baby is getting older we are trying to start our own traditions. So, we spent hours looking for a christmas dress and we used it for every event. Firs we sent Skye with Grandma Maurer to a Christmas party. She had alot of fun.

Then, the following week I took Skye to go see Santa. She did not like it one bit. As soon as she got into his arms she began screaming. We got the picture real quick and then it was all over. The poor thing was scared out of her mind. I hope she gets over her phobia of people with masks on their faces.

Then we took family pictures to send out to family. I think we took about ten different pictures. Even now I don't know which one looks the best. On Christmas morning we woke up at about 6 am before Brandon had to leave for work. It was real nice to have him home in the morning. We sat together as a family and opened gifts. We did not take pictures because we video taped the whole thing. Skye really was not too sure of what was happening. She tried to open the gifts, but I think I put too much tape on them. She would start to open each gift, but it took too long for her so she would give up. After that Brandon left for work and Skye and I waited for Grandma and Grandpa. We made dinner and then waited for Brandon to get home.

Here she is in her Christmas pajamas and her new bike.

In the beginning of January Brandon went to Safford for 3 weeks. He helped open a Denny's. It was 3 long stressful weeks. The baby was emotional after the first couple days. Not be able to see her Daddy was rough, but we got through it and we are so grateful for him.
