11 MONTHS

The baby turned 11 months a few weeks ago. She is getting soo big. I saw a 2 month old baby the other day and then looked at Skye and wow what a change. She is no longer that little tiny baby. She is turning into a beautiful happy little girl.
She stands by herself,

Watches television,

And is adorable when she passes out.

Another Tooth

Skye now has 3 teeth. 2 on the bottom and 1 is now coming in on the top. She goes through so much each time she gets a tooth. She gets fevers and can't sleep. Next thing we know a tooth pops out.

Unfortunatley, she does not like us looking this close into her mouth so we could not get a good picture.

Not Enough Time

We have had lots to do this month. Brandon is looking into another job. It looks really promising. We are excited about the change. Fourth of July was this month, but my batteries on my camera were dead and I had to use our video camara. Sounds like it should have been a good thing right, except I have not learned how to get the pictures or videos off of it. So, I have only this one picture to display of that night. But it was a lot of fun. We started by having everyone over for a BBQ. Then we moved over to the park where there was water slides, games, and then fireworks. The baby was so exhaustes by the end of the night she wound up sleeping through most of the firework show.

Also, this month it seems that everyday there is another birthday. 4 brothers, 2 nieces, my sisters boyfriend, oh my when will it end. Here is Brey

And here is Dustin

And next month the baby will turn one-year. It seems as though she grows faster and faster as she gets older. There is no time to take a breath. The little princess is always on the move. Now that she has learned to crawl she doesn't want to stay in one spot. She also figured out how to lift herself up and walk along the couches, and everything else. My 30 minutes of peace comes at 7 am. She loves to watch "The Wiggles". She will sit on my lap, let me do her hair, and cuddle with me as long as she is watching her show.

The only other time she gets quiet is when she is sleeping.

But she is such a happy baby that it makes all that she does more fun.

The baby is now 9 1/2 months. Can't believe she is getting so big so quickly.

Wow, these past few weeks have been full of birthdays, a holiday, and a very fun vacations. First, we celebrated Rhett's birthday. Mom and Dad Maurer met us and all of Amy's family at Justin and Amy's house for dinner. And for dessert Debbie brought a delicious ice cream cake that was to die for.

The following weekend we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Maurer's house. I told Debbie how much I enjoy her ice cream cakes so she made me one for my birthday.

It was soo good. It had caramel, bananas, and pecans. yummmmm.
Then on Thursday, my birthday, Amy came over with the kids and pizza to wish me a happy birthday.

It was sweet and also nice to have Skye visit with her cousins. She always get so excited when any of her cousins come around.

So, since it was my birthday, I talked with Brandon about celebrating in Mexico. We tried to invite the whole family, but they either live to far away or they had to work on the days we would be gone. Still, Mark, Debbie, Marybeth, Dustin, and Mary's friend Maria were able to make it. We had a

blast. The view could not have been any better. We spent most of the time on the beach or on the porch staring out into the ocean. One day we even saw dolphins. There was at least 5 of them following a school of fish and another five behind them being followed by people on a jet ski. It was beautiful.

It was Skye's first time in Mexico, and on the beach. To be honest, I think she liked it just as much as any of us.

She swam in the deep blue,

got a new dress, and was spoiled by everyone that went with us.

Also, while in Mexico we were able to celebrate Father's Day. It was Brandon's first Father's Day and it was good to be in a place that he absolutely loves.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.

This past week has been a pretty productive week. On Saturday we went to Lowes and bought fans for the house. For the past two years we have said we were going to get them and finally we have them. This is going to be a good summer. Then on Sunday we were out at Grandma and Grandpa Maurer's and Skye went swimming for the first time. She's already put her feet in the pool, but this time she had on her swimsuit, water shoes, and her floaty. It was adorable, but then everything she does is adorable to us.

Then this week Justin taught Brandon how to put up the fan in our bedroom. After he learned how to do the first one he's been putting fans up all over the house and changing the light fixtures all about. He's become quite the handyman.

But while we were changing the fan in Skye's room we noticed that she had picked herself up and was standing inside of her crib. SCARY! So, we lowered her crib as well. Now even if she does stand up she can't go flying out. To add to the little one's successes, she learned how to wave hello and goodbye. She was waving at a gal when we went to dinner. She has not perfected it, but she's learning. And on the twelth of this month her first tooth came in. I noticed when she tried to devour my finger. I couldn't see it, but boy could I feel it. Now, you can see just the tip of the tooth. Also, her hair has been growing like a weed. It is fun to play with and do up all cute like. She has soo much hair for such a little girl. Here is one of her many hairstyles.

Daddy's Little Girl

We were playing with the baby and she has the most adorable laugh. She gets soo excited about everything especially when she is with her daddy. They always seem to have a lot of fun together. She truly is daddy's little girl.

On the third of this month I came home from work and Skye was looking absolutely miserable. Brandon said all she would do is cuddle with him. This was strange considering that she never cuddles. I guess she had a slight fever. But SUPER DAD had it all under control. He gave her a luke warm bath to drop her temperature and by the time I got home Brandon said she was looking ten times better. That was a rough day, she looked so pitiful. On Sunday, I started feeling sick. My head was congested, and I had a runny nose. I thought it might be my allergies until later that night. We went to dinner at Brandon's parents house and my body became extremely achy. Debbie said I probably had the flu. By Monday Skye was all smiles and I became extremely ill. Then Tuesday Brandon was showing signs and later that week his mom said she was not feeling well. Now we feel better, but the bug is now with my little sister Mary. Poor girl.

Mother's Day

This week went a whole lot better. The baby and I prepared ourselves for Mother's Day.

We took out the materials that we needed and went right to work making cards for both Grandmas.

We planned to have the whole family over on Saturday, so Brandon and John went shopping for supplies. Saturday was quite a busy one day. I started by taking the moms to get massages while Brandon began in the kitchen. He started at about ten and people showed up throughout the morning, but we were not ready to eat till about five. In the end, things turned out great. It was nice to have both sides of the family around to share in the festivities. The children ran around and played together and the adults joked and visited with each other.

At the end of the night we ate pie and ice cream. Boy was it delicious. Then we gave the moms some more gifts.

They seemed to really like the cards that Skye had made them.

And of course, we can not forget what my most perfect husband got me.

An ice cream machine. To add, he vowed to always make me ice cream too. Sweet!!!

It was a wonderful night. And everybody seemed to have enjoyed themselves. I just can't wait until we can do it again.
